The Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) South West (SW) Zonal coordinating office paid a courtesy visit on the Executive Director on September 27, 2022. The delegation whose visit is premised on the introduction of the Council to the ED was ably led by the Coordinator, Mr. James Atilola. In the address by Mr. Atilola, he gave a low down on the decree that established the NSC, the responsibility of the Council, which according to him. is to protect the interest of Nigerian shippers, viz. importers and exporters and the research focus of the Council. The Zonal Coordinator summed up by stating that the NSC is an agency that facilitates International trade and also regulates the ports by focusing on both the consumers (ports users) and the providers of transport services. He implored the Institute for cordial and harmonious working relationship with the Council in the area of research. The ED in his reaction expressed readiness to partner with the NSC in areas of research collaboration.
